What to expect on your first visit
After
arriving for your new patient appointment, our staff will
welcome you and give you a health history form to complete. We will take you
through to the doctors exam room for an initial consultation. You will
be asked about your health concerns, some general background health
questions will also be asked. If you are accepted for care, a thorough
physical exam will be performed, such as a postural evaluation,
thermograph scan, range of motion checks and palpation. We will often
take x-rays so we can get a better understanding of your spine.
What comes next: The doctor will process and correlate all your
consultation and examination information. You will return for your
report where your findings will be explained. If you are a chiropractic
candidate the doctor will recommend chiropractic care, which involves
adjustments to your spine.
Chiropractic care is a managed process by the chiropractor and the
patient. The chiropractor is expected to explain fully their findings
and deliver the best care possible to improve your health. Your
responsibilities are to follow the chiropractors advice as best you
can, perform the exercises recommended to you and keep your
appointments as best you can. We encourage you to ask any questions you
have about anything to do with your care. We look forward to meeting
you!
